Traffic Advisory for WAHDAH Customers on Malaysia's Agong Coronation Ceremony
This Saturday, July 20, 2024, marks a significant event in Malaysian history as DYMM Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar will be installed as the 17th King of Malaysia at Istana Negara. The grand ceremony will see dignitaries nationwide and beyond, leading to extensive road closures and traffic diversions in Kuala Lumpur.

In preparation for the ceremony, 14 major roads in Kuala Lumpur will be temporarily closed in stages. According to KL police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, 387 traffic personnel will escort dignitaries, manage traffic, and enforce traffic regulations.

- Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway
- Jalan Kuching (southbound)
- Dato Onn Roundabout
- Jalan Parlimen
Motorists are advised to avoid these roads and follow the instructions of traffic police officers on duty.
Travel Advisory for WAHDAH Customers
To ensure a smooth travel experience during this busy period, WAHDAH customers are advised to use KL Sentral as their primary pickup and drop-off location. KL Sentral is conveniently located and will be less affected by road closures and traffic disruptions.
Pickup and Drop-off Points to Avoid
Due to heavy traffic and congestion from their proximity to key event venues and major road closures, please avoid the following locations for pickup and drop-off:
- Menara M101 pickup point
- KLCC area
- Bukit Bintang area
